Pak Embassy in Norway celebrates Mughal heritage with cultural event
ISLAMABAD, Jun 09 (APP):The Embassy of Pakistan in Oslo, Norway, on Tuesday commemorated 500 years of Pakistan’s Mughal heritage through a cultural diplomacy evening showcasing the rich and enduring legacy of the Mughal Empire.
The celebrations commenced with an exclusive film screening at Cinemateket, followed by a dinner reception hosted at the Embassy.
The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of members of the diplomatic corps, members of parliament, representatives from academia and think tanks, the chair and members of the Pakistan Friendship Group in the Norwegian Parliament, members of the Pakistani-Norwegian community, and representatives of the media.
The guests were treated to live musical performances and an exhibition of Mughal-inspired artifacts and traditional instruments, highlighting the remarkable artistic, architectural, and cultural achievements of the Mughal period, a post on Embassy’s Facebook account said.
The event underscored how the Mughal legacy continued to shape Pakistan’s cultural landscape and reflected in the language, music, cuisine, craftsmanship, and collective memory.
