FAISALABAD, Jun 09 (APP): The police paid glowing tribute to martyred Constable Muhammad Anwar on the occasion of his death anniversary.
Police spokesman said here on Tuesday that officers and officials of Sahianwala police station visited the grave of Constable Muhammad Anwar and offered ‘Fateha’ for elevation of his ranks. Floral petals were laid on the grave as a mark of respect and in remembrance of his supreme sacrifice.
He said that Constable Muhammad Anwar had embraced martyrdom twenty years ago while courageously confronting armed dacoits during an operation. His bravery, dedication and unwavering commitment to duty continue to serve as a source of inspiration for police personnel, he added.
He said that the sacrifices rendered by police martyrs had played a vital role in ensuring peace, maintaining public order and safeguarding lives and property of the citizens.
Their services and devotion to the nation would always be remembered with pride and gratitude, he added.
He said that unprecedented sacrifices of police martyrs were a precious national asset and could never be forgotten. The police force remained committed to preserve the legacy of its martyred heroes and pass on their values of courage and selflessness to future generations, he added.
