QUETTA, Jun 09 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Harnai Mir Arshad Hussain Jamali on Tuesday said that providing quality and timely medical facilities to the public is the top priority of the government.
During his visit to District Headquarters Hospital Harnai, Deputy Commissioner reviewed the medical facilities provided in the hospital, staff attendance and availability of medicines, and attendance register.
He expressed his anger over the absence of doctors and other male staff and sought immediate explanation from the concerned authorities. He also visited various departments of the hospital and met the patients and their families to get information about the treatment and facilities available.
Taking notice of the complaints of patients being provided with less than the prescribed quantity of medicines in the hospital medicine store, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to provide all patients with free and complete medicines as per the government policy and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
He said that the district administration is utilizing all available resources for improving the health sector so that the public could get better, quality and uninterrupted medical facilities.
