ICT Police check 645 individuals in grand combing operations across capital

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police checked 645 individuals and shifted 17 suspicious persons to police stations for further verification during grand search and combing operations conducted in multiple areas of the federal capital.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 09 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police checked 645 individuals and shifted 17 suspicious persons to police stations for further verification during grand search and combing operations conducted in multiple areas of the federal capital.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the large-scale operations were launched on the direction of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to further strengthen security and maintain law and order across the city.
The official said search operations were conducted in the jurisdictions of Khanna, Karachi Company, Sumbal, Noon, Shahzad Town and Lohi Bher police stations under the supervision of the respective zonal SPs.
Lady police officials also participated in the operations, he added.
During the search operations, police checked 645 individuals, 251 households, 28 hotels and 114 shops in different areas of the capital.
The official said 176 motorcycles and 89 vehicles were also inspected, while 17 suspicious individuals and 18 motorcycles were shifted to the relevant police stations for further verification.
According to the official, special checking points had been established at entry and exit routes of the city to ensure effective monitoring and security screening.
He said all patrolling units and special squads remained active and continued patrolling in different parts of the federal capital to prevent criminal activities.
The official urged citizens to cooperate with police during checking and immediately report any suspicious activity to the relevant police station or emergency helpline.
