A man was killed and his son sustained serious injuries in a firing incident in the Baghdara Chapal Road area of Batkhela, Malakand, on Tuesday.

MALAKAND, Jun 09 (APP):A man was killed and his son sustained serious injuries in a firing incident in the Baghdara Chapal Road area of Batkhela, Malakand, on Tuesday.

According to Rescue 1122 Malakand spokesperson Arshad Iqbal unidentified assailants opened fire on a father and son who were travelling on a motorcycle. As a result, 45-year-old Bacha Hazrat died on the spot, while his 18-year-old son, Zakrullah, suffered critical injuries.

Upon receiving the emergency call, a Rescue 1122 medical team rushed to the scene with an ambulance. Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured and shifted him to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Batkhela for further treatment.

The body of the deceased was also transported to the hospital for necessary legal and medical procedures.
