National unity, adherence to Seerat stressed at Eidgah Sharif conference

Speakers at the annual three-day Urs celebrations at Eidgah Sharif urged adherence to the teachings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and called for national unity, tolerance and social harmony to address contemporary challenges.

RAWALPINDI, Jun 08 (APP): Speakers at the annual three-day Urs celebrations at Eidgah Sharif urged adherence to the teachings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and called for national unity, tolerance and social harmony to address contemporary challenges.
The central session of the International Ya Rasool Allah (PBUH) Conference was presided over by Pir Syed Muhammad Naqeeb ur Rehman, while Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider attended as chief guests.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said an ideal society based on peace, equality, brotherhood and respect for humanity could be built by following the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He stressed that these principles offered practical guidance for ensuring stability and harmony in the country.
Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider in his address said that true success in this world and the hereafter lay in living life in accordance with the teachings of Islam and strengthening spiritual attachment with Madina. He emphasized the need for aligning individual and collective conduct with the Shariah.
Pir Syed Muhammad Hassan Haseeb ur Rehman, while adressing the session, highlighted that affection for the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Ahl e Bait and companions of Prophet (PBUH) formed the foundation of faith, adding that this spiritual strength enabled the Muslim Ummah to overcome challenges. He said that devotion to the Prophet (PBUH) had historically driven the ummah towards progress and excellence.
He termed Pakistan a divine blessing and stressed that the entire nation stood united with its armed forces for the country’s security, stability and prosperity.
Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman on the occasion maintained that Eidgah Sharif had always promoted the message of ‘Ishq e Rasool’ (PBUH), unity of the Ummah and national integrity, adding that such gatherings played a vital role in guiding society towards positive values.
A large number of devotees from across the country and abroad attended the conference, including religious scholars, spiritual leaders and people from different walks of life. Notable participants included Pir Syed Habibullah Shah from Gamghol Sharif, Mufti Liaquat Ali Al-Azhari, Allama Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal Rizvi and Mufti Faisal Hussain Naqshbandi, among others.
The day long event concluded with collective prayers led by Pir Syed Muhammad Naqeeb ur Rehman for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, progress and stability of Pakistan, and the success of the armed forces, followed by distribution of meal among participants.
