ISLAMABAD, Jun 08 (APP):Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Monday congratulated the successful candidates in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections and praised the people of the region for their active participation in the democratic process.
In a post on his X account, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry extended congratulations to candidates from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), independent candidates, and other political parties on winning seats in the elections.
He paid special tribute to the politically aware and responsible people of Gilgit-Baltistan, stating that they had decided their future through the power of the vote in a peaceful electoral environment.
The minister said that the victorious candidates were now custodians of the public trust and carried the responsibility of representing the aspirations of the people.
He also appreciated all candidates who participated in the elections, saying their involvement had played a commendable role in strengthening the democratic process.
Dr. Tariq Fazal emphasised that political differences should be set aside in order to further strengthen the democratic system.
