QUETTA, Jun 08 (APP): Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has taken strict notice of the tragic incident in Wahdat Colony, Quetta, where a man, identified as Asif Ali, allegedly killed five family members before attempting suicide.
The Chief Minister has ordered an immediate, transparent, and impartial investigation into the case.
According to Shahid Rind, Assistant to the Chief Minister for Political and Media Affairs, Sarfraz Bugti directed all relevant institutions to thoroughly examine every aspect of the incident and ensure that facts are established without delay.
He emphasized that the inquiry must be conducted with professionalism and complete transparency.
Shahid Rind revealed that, based on the video message recorded by the deceased Asif Ali before his suicide attempt, two government employees have been taken into custody.
He added that the scope of the investigation has been expanded, with further evidence, witness statements, and forensic analysis being collected to uncover the truth.
The Chief Minister has demanded a prompt report from the concerned authorities, instructing that the investigation be carried out without discrimination and brought to its logical conclusion.
Sarfraz Bugti reiterated that the rule of law will prevail, and no individual or official is above accountability. “If evidence emerges against any person, strict legal action will be taken.”
Shahid Rind assured that once the investigation is complete, all facts will be made public to eliminate ambiguity or speculation.
He further added that Sarfraz Bugti has expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with the bereaved family, pledging that the government will ensure justice and bring all responsible individuals to account.
