Doctors body demands justice for acid attack victim lady doctor

MULTAN, Jun 08 (APP): The Pakistan Private Doctors Association (PPDA) has strongly condemned the acid attack on a lady doctor in Quetta and described it as a brutal act against humanity, the rule of law, and the healthcare system.
Addressing a press conference in Multan, PPDA Central President Dr. Irfan Paracha, Chairman Dr. Muhammad Akmal Madni, Senior Vice President Dr. Ismail Bashir, and Vice President Dr. Rabia Nisa said, the attack is not only a crime against an individual doctor but also an assault on the entire medical community and civilized values.
They expressed deep concern over increasing threats to healthcare professionals, particularly female doctors, and urged the government and law-enforcement agencies to immediately arrest the perpetrators and their facilitators, ensure a transparent investigation, and bring those responsible to justice.
The PPDA leaders also called for effective security measures for doctors and healthcare workers and legal action against individuals involved in spreading false allegations, hate campaigns, and misinformation targeting the medical profession.
Expressing solidarity with the victim and her family, they prayed for her speedy recovery and stressed that protecting doctors is essential for maintaining a safe, just, and functional society. They warned that failure to punish those responsible could encourage further violence against professionals and ordinary citizens alike.
