A 50-year-old man on Monday was critically injured after being shot by an unidentified assailant , the police said.

MUZAFFARGARH, Jun 8 (APP):A 50-year-old man on Monday was critically injured after being shot by an unidentified assailant , the police said.

They said the shooting occurred in broad daylight within the jurisdiction of Pir Jagi Police Station. The incident took place in Chak No. 427-A, where an unknown gunman opened fire on a man namely Allah Wasaya Araeen.

As a result of the attack, Allah Wasaya, 50, sustained serious injuries. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting and remains at large, the police added.

The police registered a case and lunched investigation.

The injured man was shifted to THQ Hospital, Kot Sultan, where his condition is reported to be critical.
