According to spokesman of local administration, District Officer (DO) Industries Muhammad Irfan along with inspection teams conducted extensive visits to markets, bazaars, shops, bakeries and petrol pumps in different parts of the district to verify the accuracy of weighing and measuring instruments being used in commercial activities.
During inspection, the officials examined a variety of weighing scales, measuring devices and fuel dispensing systems to ensure they met prescribed standards and provided consumers with correct quantities of goods and services.
The teams also initiated legal and administrative action against violators found using defective equipment, non-standard measuring instruments or engaging in practices contrary to the relevant rules and regulations as such violations could adversely affect consumer interests.
