One killed, two injured in firing incident

A man was killed and two women suffered bullet injuries in a firing incident reported in Chak No. 101/DNB, Shahi Wala near Ahmedpur East.

BAHAWALPUR, Jun 07 (APP): A man was killed and two women suffered bullet injuries in a firing incident reported in Chak No. 101/DNB, Shahi Wala near Ahmedpur East.
According to Rescue staff of the Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, a violent clash erupted between two families due to an old dispute. “During the altercation, gunfire was exchanged, resulting in one man being shot in the head and dying at the scene,” they said, adding that his wife and sister also sustained gunshot injuries to their arms.
“A woman was taken to a hospital by family members before rescue personnel arrived,” they said, adding that while rescue staff provided first aid to the other injured woman and shifted her to THQ Hospital Ahmedpur East.
In the presence of the SHO, Rescue personnel shifted the deceased’s body to RHC Khairi Bungalow for legal formalities and further proceedings.
The deceased was identified as 45-years-old Shahbaz. He received gunshot wound to the head. The injured were recognized as 40-years-old Shabana Bib and 40-years-old Ghazala Bibi. All of them were residents of 101/DNB, Shahi Wala, Tehsil Yazman.
 The local police have registered case against the suspects and launched investigation into the incident. Further probe was in process.
