PESHAWAR, Jun 07 (APP): In a significant step aimed at improving travel facilities for passengers, Pakistan Railways has launched the second upgraded rake of the Awam Express service from Peshawar to Karachi.
The train was formally flagged off by Divisional Superintendent (DS) Peshawar, Imran Hayat, along with divisional railway officials on Sunday.
Passengers traveling on the Awam Express welcomed the initiative and praised Pakistan Railways for enhancing travel standards.
Speaking on the occasion, DS Peshawar Imran Hayat said that in line with the vision of Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, providing safe, comfortable and quality travel facilities to passengers remains the top priority of Pakistan Railways.
He added that, through the efforts of CEO Railways and Senior General Manager, Hafeez Ullah the upgrading of Awam Express and the introduction of new rakes will not only provide passengers with a better travel environment but will also significantly improve the overall quality of train services.
Imran Hayat further stated that Pakistan Railways’ Peshawar Division continues to implement practical measures to improve the railway system and enhance passenger convenience. The addition of the second upgraded rake to the Awam Express will offer modern facilities, improved seating arrangements and a more comfortable travel experience.
Reaffirming Pakistan Railways’ commitment to public service, he expressed confidence that the organization will continue its efforts to provide modern, safe, reliable and passenger-friendly transportation services while maintaining the trust of the traveling public.
