Police have arrested two members of a bike lifter gang and recovered three stolen motorcycles, two snatched mobile phones, cash amounting to Rs 21,000, and illegal weapons during a successful operation.

RAWALPINDI, Jun 07 (APP): Police have arrested two members of a bike lifter gang and recovered three stolen motorcycles, two snatched mobile phones, cash amounting to Rs 21,000, and illegal weapons during a successful operation.
A police spokesperson told on Sunday that the suspects were taken into custody during a targeted crackdown against street criminals in the jurisdiction of Morgah police station. The recovered motorcycles had been reported stolen, while the mobile phones were allegedly snatched from citizens during street crime incidents.
Police said the gang was not only involved in motorcycle theft but was also linked to street crimes and other theft-related offences in the area.
SP Potohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan said the arrested suspects would be presented before the court with solid and substantial evidence to ensure legal action against them.
He reiterated that individuals involved in depriving citizens of their valuable property would not escape the law.
Further investigations are underway to determine the suspects’ involvement in other criminal activities and to recover more stolen property.
