LAHORE, Jun 06 (APP): Heat intensity is continuously increasing in the provincial capital Lahore, where the current temperature of the city has been recorded at 40 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, the wind speed in the city is 6 kilometers per hour while the humidity ratio in the air has been recorded at 22 percent, due to which the heat intensity is being felt more.
Meteorologists say that the maximum temperature of Lahore is likely to reach 41 degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours, while the minimum temperature may remain at 29 degrees Celsius.
According to the data, the city’s overall air quality index has been recorded at 130, which indicates the presence of pollution in the air.
The Meteorological Department has clarified that there is no possibility of rain in Lahore today, while the heat intensity is likely to increase further in the next few days.
Experts have instructed citizens to avoid leaving their homes unnecessarily during intense sunlight, use more water and take precautionary measures to protect themselves from the harmful effects of heat.
