LAHORE, Jun 06 (APP): Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday here and discussed the country’s overall law and order and security situation.
During the meeting, the interior minister briefed the prime minister on his important engagements held on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
The two leaders also held consultations regarding the interior minister’s upcoming visit to Tehran.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif provided guidance and discussed matters related to the visit.
The meeting reviewed in detail the prevailing security environment in the country and measures being taken to maintain peace and stability.
Mohsin Naqvi briefed the prime minister on the steps being implemented to ensure law and order and safeguard citizens across the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed the importance of close coordination among all relevant institutions and called for a unified strategy to further strengthen law and order and enhance national security.
The prime minister reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining peace, protecting citizens and ensuring effective cooperation among all security and law enforcement agencies.
