LAHORE, Jun 06 (APP):The Pakistan Railways has decided to initiate strict legal action against a YouTuber who allegedly attempted to portray a condemned railway coach as an operational passenger coach,according to an official spokesperson.
The spokesperson on Saturday said that the individual entered a coach that had already been declared scrap and falsely presented it as a passenger coach currently in service.
The act created a misleading impression regarding the condition and operation of Pakistan Railways’ rolling stock.
Pakistan Railways has termed the content as misinformation and announced that a formal application will be submitted to the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing on Monday for legal proceedings against the YouTuber.
He further stated that the matter will be pursued to its logical conclusion and emphasized that the dissemination of false and misleading information about public institutions will not be tolerated.
Pakistan Railways reiterated its commitment to transparency and responsible communication,urging content creators to verify facts before publishing material that may mislead the public.
