KARACHI, Jun 06 (APP):The Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi on Saturday inaugurated the 1296th annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi (RA).
    The inaugural ceremony was held at the shrine of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi (RA) in Clifton, Karachi.
    The Governor of Sindh visited the shrine, offered fateha and laid a ceremonial cloth (Chadar) at the shrine.
     The Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi met with the devotees visiting the shrine and welcomed them.
    Along with the Secretary of Auqaf and other relevant officials, the Governor distributed clothes among deserving individuals.
    He offered special prayers for the country’s progress, public prosperity, national unity and stability.
    He reviewed the arrangements made for devotees attending the Urs celebrations.
    The Governor said, “The teachings of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi (RA) convey a message of love, tolerance, brotherhood and service to humanity”.
    He said by following the teachings of the saints, peace, tolerance and harmony can be promoted in society”.
