Police have arrested two suspects for allegedly displaying weapons on social media and recovered illegal firearms during the operation here Friday.

RAWALPINDI, Jun 05 (APP): Police have arrested two suspects for allegedly displaying weapons on social media and recovered illegal firearms during the operation here Friday.
According to police spokesperson, the suspects were taken into custody for displaying weapons online, that was creating fear and insecurity among the public.
During the crackdown, police recovered two 30-bore pistols along with ammunition from the accused.
The operation was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to curb the illegal display and promotion of weapons on social media platforms.
SP Potohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan commended police team and stated that the suspects would be challaned with solid evidence to ensure appropriate punishment under the law.
He emphasized that individuals involved in spreading fear and panic among citizens through the promotion of weapons cannot evade the law and will be dealt with strictly.
Police reiterated their commitment to maintaining public safety and taking action against those who misuse social media to promote unlawful activities.
