Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora on Friday said that quality healthcare facilities were being ensured across Punjab in line with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

RAWALPINDI, Jun 05 (APP):Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora on Friday said that quality healthcare facilities were being ensured across Punjab in line with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He said this during his visit to Islamabad Medical and Dental College (IMDC), where the hospital administration briefed him on the institution’s performance and facilities being provided to students.
The briefing highlighted that Dr Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital has 500 beds and offers treatment for various diseases including neurosurgery, kidney and liver-related conditions. The institution has so far provided healthcare services to 1.5 million people.
The provincial minister also visited the College library and appreciated the institution’s services in the health sector.
Addressing the students, he said that the Punjab government was focusing on maternal and child health, while work was also underway to utilize artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.
He also highlighted that people of different religions in Pakistan enjoyed complete religious freedom and emphasized the need for collective efforts to promote a positive image of the country.
