Rescue 1122 holds awareness walk to mark Would Environment Day
MUZAFFARGARH, Jun 05 (APP):Rescue 1122, in collaboration with the Environment Department,organized an awareness walk on Friday to mark World Environment Day and highlight the importance of environmental protection, tree plantation,cleanliness and ECO-friendly practices.
The walk was attended by Rescue 1122 officials and staff,representatives of various government departments,students and members of civil society from different walks of life.
Participants reiterated their resolve to promote a cleaner and greener environment, while pledging support for efforts aimed at reducing pollution and encouraging sustainable practices.
Speaking on the occasion,District Emergency Officer(DEO),Engineer,Ubaidullah Khan said environmental protection was a collective responsibility,urging citizens to actively participate in tree plantation campaigns and adopt ECO-friendly habits in daily life.
He stressed that coordinated efforts were essential to address the growing challenges of climate change and environmental degradation,adding that every individual must contribute towards ensuring a clean,safe and healthy environment for future generations.
The participants also expressed commitment to supporting initiatives focused on environmental conservation and sustainable development.
