Minister for Religious Affairs Visits Madinah Hajj Mission and Central Clinic, Expresses Satisfaction with Performance

MADINAH, Jun 05 (APP):Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, visited the Pakistan Hajj Mission’s Main Coordination Office (MCO) and the Central Clinic in Madinah to review the medical and administrative services being provided to Hajj pilgrims. During the visit, Director Madinah, Zahid Sohail, provided a comprehensive briefing to the Federal Minister regarding Hajj operations and the mission’s overall performance.
Director Madinah informed the Minister that the mission is hosting over 72,000 government Hajj pilgrims this year. He noted that more than 11,700 pilgrims have already reached Madinah and will be performing Jumu’ah prayers at Masjid-e-Nabawi today. Highlighting new initiatives, the Director explained that for the first time, computerized room booking is being implemented, and 100% of pilgrims are being ensured access to visit Riaz-ul-Jannah.
Furthermore, “City Check-in” services are being utilized to manage luggage booking directly from the pilgrims’ residences. According to the briefing, flight operations for the return journey will continue until June 30, with Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj teams remaining alert around the clock to assist pilgrims.

The Federal Minister also inspected the Central Clinic, where he toured the registration desk, the specialized dental clinic for women, the Outpatient Department (OPD), and various modern diagnostic units. He commended the quality of medical facilities provided by the Hajj Medical Mission and expressed satisfaction with the healthcare services currently available to the pilgrims.

During the review of the MCO’s various units, the Minister was briefed that the Complaints Cell, Early Departure Cell, Lost & Found Cell, Digital Induction Cell, and IT Cell are fully operational across three shifts, leveraging modern technological systems to monitor all pilgrim-related matters.
Concluding his visit, Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf expressed his complete satisfaction with the performance of both the hospital and the MCO.
He remarked that pilgrims in Madinah are receiving significantly better and more organized services this year. He praised the mission team for their diligence and directed them to continue serving the Hujjaj with the same level of commitment and professionalism.
