ISLAMABAD, Jun 04 (APP):Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Security Islamabad Rana Umar Farooq chaired a meeting to review security arrangements for foreign delegations, protocol duties and the operational preparedness of the Special Protection Unit (SPU) in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Thursday that SSP CTD Saud Khan, SP CTD Khalid Mahmood Awan and SP Traffic Majid Iqbal attended the meeting.

The official said participants carried out a detailed review of security arrangements for foreign delegations, protocol assignments and the operational capabilities of the Special Protection Unit.
Various security-related matters, emerging challenges and preventive measures were discussed during the meeting, with particular focus on ensuring safe and smooth movement of foreign delegations and other important national and international personalities.
DIG Umar Farooq also reviewed the overall performance of the Security Division and Special Protection Unit and stressed the need for further improvement in professional capabilities, effective coordination and alignment of security measures with modern requirements.
Umar Farooq directed the concerned officers to utilize all available resources to ensure the protection of foreign delegations and dignitaries and maintain the highest standards of security at all times.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the DIG Umar Farooq instructed officers to perform their responsibilities with greater dedication, vigilance and professionalism to further strengthen the security framework in the federal capital.
