SIALKOT, Jun 04 (APP): A seminar “Daughters of Pakistan” was organized at Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on the role of women, the promotion of peace, and the prevention of extremism.
As per release of the varsity on Thursday, the seminar was jointly organized by the Punjab Center of Excellence for Countering Extremism, the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, and the Directorate of Student Affairs.
Addressing the seminar, Dr. Ahmad Khawar, Deputy Coordinator of the Paigham-e-Pakistan Peace Award, highlighted the project’s objectives, achievements, and future roadmap in detail. He emphasized that young women must play an active role in promoting peace, tolerance, and positive social values in order to protect society from extremism and violence.
At the beginning of the event, Prof. Dr. Ilyas, In-Charge of the Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences, welcomed the distinguished guests and underscored the significance of the seminar.
