Successful IBOs  reflect forces’ resolve against terrorism: PPP

MULTAN, Jun 04 (APP): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) South Punjab President and former Punjab governor, Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmood, on Thursday lauded Pakistan’s security forces for their successful intelligence-based operations (IBOs) against terrorists in Balochistan, describing the elimination of militant elements as a significant achievement for national security and stability.

In a statement issued here on Thursday,  he paid rich tribute to the armed forces and law enforcement agencies for their professionalism, courage and operational effectiveness in tackling security threats amid the prevailing regional and border challenges.

 He said the successful actions against terrorist networks, infiltration attempts and sabotage activities in border areas demonstrated the preparedness and capability of Pakistan’s defence institutions to counter all forms of threats.

Mr Mahmood  said the successful anti-terror operations in Balochistan and other parts of the country reflected the unwavering commitment, professional expertise and sacrifices of security personnel dedicated to safeguarding national security.

He noted that hostile forces had repeatedly attempted to undermine Pakistan’s peace, development and stability, but the country’s security institutions continued to foil such designs through effective intelligence-driven strategies and modern operational tactics.

PPP South Punjab president  stated that sustained counterterrorism efforts had weakened terrorist networks and contributed to a noticeable improvement in the law and order situation across the country. The PPP leader said the nation deeply valued the sacrifices and services rendered by the armed forces and security agencies.

Reaffirming support for national security institutions, PPP senior leader said the entire nation and PPP workers stood shoulder to shoulder with the security forces under the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the protection of Pakistan’s sovereignty, security and citizens.

He also paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country and for the establishment of peace, saying their contributions would remain a shining chapter in Pakistan’s history.
