PESHAWAR, Jun 04 (APP): Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Peshawar Region held deliberations with the representatives of goldsmiths on the issues relating to property tax, regulatory procedures etc.
The department was represented by the Director Peshawar Region, Syed ul-Amin along with officials of ETO-II Peshawar and representatives of the Peshawar Goldsmiths Association.
The purpose of the meeting was to promote taxpayers’ facilitation and strengthening of engagement with the business community of the region.
The meeting focused on discussing property tax-related matters concerning the Sarafa Bazaar, addressing the concerns of traders, and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation between the Excise Department and the business community.
During the meeting, representatives of the Goldsmiths Association highlighted various issues relating to property tax assessment, payment procedures, and other relevant matters. They also shared their concerns and recommendations for improving the tax administration process.
Director Peshawar Region, Syed ul-Amin, listened attentively to the viewpoints of all stakeholders and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to resolving issues in accordance with the law while ensuring transparency, fairness, and public facilitation.
Officials of the Excise and Taxation Department provided detailed briefings on property tax laws, procedures, and government policies. They also responded to questions raised by the traders and assured them of the department’s full cooperation in addressing their legitimate concerns.
The participants agreed that continuous coordination, dialogue, and mutual consultation between the Excise Department and the business community would help resolve tax-related matters mutually while contributing to a more efficient revenue system and a conducive business environment.
The President and representatives of the Peshawar Goldsmiths Association appreciated the positive and constructive approach of the Excise and Taxation Department toward resolving stakeholders’ concerns.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation with the department and presented valuable suggestions aimed at further improving the tax system.
