Rescue1122 responds to 5,438 victims in May : Performance Report

KASUR, Jun 4 (APP):The Rescue 1122  has released its monthly performance report for May 2026 during a review meeting chaired by District Emergency Officer Dr. Nair Alam Khan.
The meeting reviewed the overall performance of the district rescue service during the month.
According to a briefing, the Rescue Control Room received a total of 5,090 emergency calls in May 2026.
Rescue teams provided assistance to 5,438 victims and shifted 3,118 injured or affected persons to hospitals. The average response time across all emergencies remained 6.93 minutes.
The officials informed the meeting that 2,834 medical emergencies and 1,331 road traffic accidents were reported across the district during the month. Other incidents included 72 fire emergencies, 160 fall-related accidents, and eight drowning cases.
A total of 136 fatalities were recorded in the incidents. The highest number of deaths occurred in medical emergencies, accounting for 100 fatalities, followed by road traffic crashes with 15 deaths, according to the report.
