VC highlights industry-academia collaboration at IUB Job Fair

BAHAWALPUR, Jun 03 (APP): The Department of Economics at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) organized a Job Fair aimed at connecting students and graduates with potential employers and enhancing

their career prospects.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between academia and industry to create meaningful employment opportunities for students. He noted that such partnerships play a vital role in bridging the gap between education and the job market, enabling graduates to meet the evolving demands of employers.

Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti praised the initiative and described the Job Fair as an important platform for students’ career development and professional growth. She said the event would help students gain valuable exposure to employment opportunities and workplace expectations.

Chairman of the Department of Economics Dr. Atif Nawaz highlighted the need to equip graduates with the technical competencies, professional skills, and interpersonal abilities required to succeed in today’s competitive job market. He stressed that universities must continue preparing students for practical challenges beyond the classroom.
