Over 833,345 metric tons of fertilizer manufactured worth of $535.452 million were imported during the last 10 months of the current financial year as compared to the imports of 841,854 metric tons valued at $516.256 million of the corresponding period of the last year.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 3 (APP):Over 833,345 metric tons of fertilizer manufactured worth of $535.452 million were imported during the last 10 months of the current financial year as compared to the imports of 841,854 metric tons valued at $516.256 million of the corresponding period of the last year.
During the period from July-April 2026, the imports of fertilizer into the country grew by 3.72 percent as compared to the imports of the corresponding period of the last year, according the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Meanwhile, 37,943 metric tons of insecticides valued at $175.179 million were also imported during the period under review as compared to the imports of 25,491 metric tons worth of $127.395 million of the same period of the last year.
The imports of insecticides into the country during last 10 months of current financial year grew by 37.93 percent as compared to the imports of the same period of the last year.
On the other hand over 2.044 million metric tons of plastic materials valued at $2.348 billion were imported during the period under review as compared to the imports of 1.804 million metric tons worth of $2.254 billion of the same period of the last year.
The import of plastic material into the country during the period under review grew by 4.18 percent as compared to the imports of the same period of the last year. The imports of agriculture machinery and Implements into the country during last 10 months of current financial year grew by 23.18 percent as compared to the imports of the corresponding period of the last year.
During the period from July-April 2025-26, agriculture machinery and implements valued at $114.569 million were imported into the country as compared to the imports of $93.009 million of the same period of the last year.
The imports of machinery group into the country during the period under review increased by 8.16 percent as compared to the imports of the same period of the last year, according the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
In last 10 months of the current financial year, the import of the machinery group into the country reached to $8.951 billion as compared to the imports of $8.275 billion of the same period of the last year.
