MIRPUR, Jun 1 (APP): Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore on Monday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to public service, transparency and merit, saying practical measures were being taken to address public issues despite limited resources.
The prime minister made these remarks during a meeting with AJK Minister for Information, Religious Affairs and Auqaf Chaudhry Muhammad Rafique Nayyar at Jammu Kashmir House in Islamabad. The two leaders discussed the overall political situation, government affairs and the Pakistan Peoples Party’s strategy for the forthcoming elections. They also reviewed the party’s organizational activities and public outreach efforts in various constituencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Rathore said his government had made notable progress in public welfare, infrastructure development, education and healthcare within a short period. He emphasized that effective governance and public service remained the administration’s foremost priorities and that efforts were continuing to improve the delivery of essential services.
Referring to the Pakistan Peoples Party’s political legacy, the prime minister described it as an ideological and people-oriented party that had played a significant role in strengthening democracy and protecting public rights. Expressing confidence in the party’s prospects in the upcoming elections, he urged party workers to maintain close contact with the public and effectively communicate the government’s welfare initiatives at the grassroots level. Political Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Azadar Hussain Kazmi and Coordinator to the President Hanif Khatana were also present during the meeting.
