SU, AAWO join hands to promote inclusive education, disability support programs

HYDERABAD, Jun 01 (APP): The University of Sindh and Al-Asar Welfare Organization (AAWO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaboration in disability rehabilitation, inclusive education, research and community welfare initiatives.
Sindh University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Mari and President Al-Asar Welfare Organization Imdad Ali put their signatures on the MoU at a ceremony held in the VC office on Monday.
According to the SU spokesperson Nadir Ali Mugheri, under the agreement, both institutions will jointly work on student internships, research projects, training programs, workshops and awareness campaigns aimed at empowering persons with disabilities.
The MoU would also provide opportunities for Sindh University students to gain practical experience through placements at AAWO rehabilitation centres.
The two organizations also agreed to organize joint events and capacity-building activities to advance the welfare and social inclusion of persons with disabilities.
