RAWALPINDI, Jun 01 (APP): The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi (HAR) has completed extensive cleaning, beautification and landscaping work at Rawal Park following Eid-ul-Azha to provide visitors with a clean, attractive and healthy recreational environment.

Acting on the directions of Managing Director Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, special cleanliness operations were carried out across various sections of the park, including walkways, entry and exit points, green areas, children’s play zones and family recreation spaces.

The campaign also included grass cutting, maintenance of trees and plants, pruning of dry branches, and the redesign and decoration of flower beds.

According to the HAR spokesperson, visitors during the Eid holidays enjoyed a pleasant, well-maintained atmosphere due to the enhanced arrangements.

To further improve the park’s appearance, seasonal flowers were planted at different locations, green belts were beautified, and additional staff members were deployed to ensure effective cleanliness management.

Special duty rosters remained in place throughout the Eid holidays to maintain sanitation standards and facilitate visitors.
The spokesperson said Rawal Park was one of the city’s most popular recreational destinations, attracting many families, particularly during Eid holidays.
Keeping this in view, he said, all available resources had been utilised to ensure cleanliness, beautification and the provision of quality facilities so that visitors could enjoy the best possible recreational experience.
He said similar cleanliness and beautification initiatives were also underway in other parks, green belts and recreational sites across the city.
He said the agency’s objective was to provide citizens with a clean, green and environmentally friendly atmosphere while enhancing the overall beauty of Rawalpindi.
He urged citizens to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness at parks and public places by disposing of waste in designated bins, avoiding damage to plants and flowers, and encouraging children to adopt responsible environmental practices.
He said collective efforts could help make the city cleaner, greener and more pleasant for residents and visitors alike.
