Bus overturns, 15 wedding guests injured

As many 15 people including women and children sustained multiple injuries when a bus carrying wedding guests overturned near Samana in the area of Millat Town police station late Sunday night.

FAISALABAD, Jun 01 (APP):As many 15 people including women and children sustained multiple injuries when a bus carrying wedding guests overturned near Samana in the area of Millat Town police station late Sunday night.
Rescue 1122 spokesman said here on Monday that the accident occurred near Chak No.119-JB Rasool Pur Samana on Millat Road when a bus carrying members of a wedding party lost control while negotiating a turn in the darkness and turned turtle by the roadside.
The vehicle was returning to Chak No.119-JB Rasool Pur after attending a Walima ceremony in Mazhabiwala village on Samundri Road.
After receiving information, rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched relief operations. Emergency responders provided first aid to the injured on the spot before shifting seriously injured passengers to Allied Hospital-I for further medical examination and treatment.
The injured were identified as Saim, 14, son of Muhammad Arshad; Rukhsana, 35, wife of Asif; Irha, 5, daughter of Asif; Tanveer, 35, son of Gulzar; Gulzar, 72, son of Noor; Abida, 38, wife of Zahid; Sajida, 35, wife of Akhtar; Arshad, 53, son of Muhammad Din; Rakhshanda, 35, wife of Tanveer; Abu Bakar, 27, son of Ali Akbar; Zahid, 37, son of Qadeer; Sabir, 40, son of Abdul Qadir; Aniya, 5, daughter of Asif; Rashida, 28, wife of Arshad; and Kashif, 28, son of Umar Din.
He said that all the injured belonged to Chak No.118-JB Rasool Pur and timely intervention by Rescue 1122 personnel ensured prompt medical assistance to all affected passengers.
He said that despite severity of the accident, no fatality was reported. The condition of the injured was being monitored at the hospital while the area police were gathering further details about the circumstances that led to the crash, he added.
