Police seize wheat in smuggling attempt to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The police recovered wheat 250 bags that were  being smuggled into  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the police said on Monday.

BHAKKAR, Jun 1 (APP):The police recovered wheat 250 bags that were  being smuggled into  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the police said on Monday.
According to a police spokesperson, a Bahl Police Station team intercepted two tractor-trolleys carrying wheat through a river crossing route near Bhakkar 250 bags of wheat on board.
He said the operation was conducted on the instructions  under the supervision of District Police Officer, Shahzad Rafiq Awan.
After legal formalities, the recovered wheat was handed over to the Food Department, he added.
The police said operations against smuggling networks would continue, adding that efforts were being made to curb illegal hoarding and the unlawful movement of essential commodities.
