Governor Kundi holds meetings with political, student delegations; expresses condolences

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday held separate meetings with political and student representatives in Dera Ismail Khan, discussing law and order, education, youth development and issues of public interest.

According to details, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader and prominent businessman Haji Nisar Ahmad Bettani of Dabbra called on Governor Kundi. During the meeting, the two exchanged views on the prevailing law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ongoing political developments, and efforts aimed at securing the province’s constitutional and economic rights through political consensus. Matters of mutual interest were also discussed.
In a separate meeting, a delegation of the Bettani Students Society of Gomal University, led by Najeebullah, met the governor. Former Peoples Youth Organization leader and District Secretary of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society in Tank, Ziauddin Bettani, also accompanied the delegation.
The delegation included Shahab, Tariq Comrade, Abrar and Adnan. Discussions focused on the promotion of education in the province, the provision of quality educational opportunities for young people, enhancement of facilities in educational institutions, and the importance of girls’ education.
The student representatives apprised the governor of various issues faced by students and presented suggestions for their resolution.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Kundi said education was the foundation of progress and development in any society, adding that providing quality education to the younger generation was a primary responsibility of the state. He emphasized the need to pay special attention to female education to enable women to play a more effective role in national development.
The governor also appreciated the positive role of student organizations in promoting education, research and constructive activities among youth, and assured the delegation of his support in addressing genuine student concerns.
Separately, Governor Kundi expressed deep sorrow over the death of the mother of Pakistan Muslim League leader Zeeshan Raj of Dera Ismail Khan. In a condolence message, he prayed for the departed soul to be granted a high place in Jannah and extended his sympathies to the bereaved family, praying for their patience and strength during this difficult time.
