MINA VALLEY, May 28 (APP):On the fourth day of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, millions of pilgrims in the valley of Mina are performing the ritual of Rami (stoning of the three pillars representing Satan). Simultaneously, the performance of Tawaf al-Ziyarah (the third obligatory pillar of Hajj) and the vital ritual of Sa’ee continue seamlessly today.
Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, has directed Pakistani pilgrims to strictly maintain discipline and cleanliness throughout the holy sites. The minister highly commended the Saudi government’s top-notch arrangements, highlighting the highly efficient cooling systems and rigorous sanitation protocols deployed across the tents and pathways in Mina.
In light of the scorching weather conditions, the Federal Minister has strongly advised pilgrims to remain inside their tents during the peak afternoon hours to avoid heatstroke. To prevent pilgrims from getting lost, a smart digital system has been implemented; pilgrims can instantly locate their designated routes and tents by scanning the QR Code printed on their Maktab cards.
To facilitate smooth transit to and from the Grand Mosque (Haram), the Saudi shuttle service is operating continuously from Jamarat and Mina’s Chowk 511. Furthermore, to assist elderly and vulnerable pilgrims, dedicated guides from the Pakistan Hajj Mission are deployed 24/7 at all major checkpoints across Mina. The pilgrims will spend tonight as well staying in the Mina valley to complete their rituals.
