Saudi AI authority activates 89 digital, security sites for smooth Hajj operations

ISLAMABAD, May 28 (APP):Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) expanded its technical operations during Hajj 1447 AH by operating and supporting 89 digital and security-related sites across the holy sites and entry control points to improve pilgrim services and operational efficiency.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the authority managed 75 operational sites inside the holy sites along with 14 screening and security-control locations during the Hajj season.
SDAIA provided technical systems, communication services, infrastructure support and advanced digital solutions in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and other agencies serving pilgrims.
SPA told APP that the operations included equipping workstations, connecting sites with SDAIA’s secure network, carrying out preventive maintenance and immediately resolving technical issues reported from field locations.
Authorities said training sessions were also conducted for personnel working on modern digital systems and operational platforms during Hajj.
Saudi authorities are increasingly using artificial intelligence and data technologies to improve crowd management, security monitoring and service delivery for millions of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
