PA Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan extends Eid greetings

LAHORE, May 27 (APP): Punjab Assembly(PA)Speaker, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan on Wednesday extended Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the nation and the Muslim world.
In his message, he said Eid-ul-Azha commemorates the great sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS), adding that the occasion revives the spirit of selflessness, sacrifice and obedience to Allah Almighty.
He said it was a national and moral responsibility to include underprivileged segments of society in Eid celebrations, stressing that unity, tolerance and solidarity were the need of the hour.
The Speaker paid tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan, martyrs and all those serving the country, saying their sacrifices for the homeland were deeply valued by the nation.
Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan also urged citizens to ensure cleanliness, discipline and civic responsibility during Eid-ul-Azha.
He expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and Kashmir and said the people of Pakistan stood firmly with them.
He prayed for peace, progress and prosperity for the country.
