LAHORE, May 26 (APP):Federal Tax Ombudsman Coordinator Saif-ur-Rehman on Tuesday said that peace and stability in the Middle East were essential for ensuring sustainable economic growth and regional prosperity, including for Pakistan.
Talking to a delegation of importers and exporters here, he said that geopolitical stability played an important role in maintaining smooth trade activities, stable energy supplies and confidence in global financial markets.
He said Pakistan, as an energy import-dependent country, could benefit from stable regional conditions that support uninterrupted trade and balanced energy prices.
Saif emphasized the importance of prudent economic planning, diversification of energy resources, and strengthening regional trade partnerships to enhance economic resilience.
He urged policymakers to continue adopting proactive economic measures and maintain coordination with international financial institutions to safeguard economic stability.
He further said that dialogue, cooperation, and peaceful engagement were vital for regional prosperity and protection of global economic interests.
