ISLAMABAD, May 24 (APP):Kidana Development Company has expanded smart technologies and infrastructure projects across the holy sites to improve operational efficiency, safety and pilgrim services during the Hajj 1447 AH season.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), one of the major projects includes the third phase of the operational control center development through the SCADA smart monitoring system, which allows real-time monitoring and immediate control of facilities and operational assets inside the holy sites.
The report said the SCADA system links electricity, cooling, water and public utility networks through an integrated digital platform to improve readiness levels and accelerate responses to operational faults and emergency observations.
As part of safety enhancement measures, Kidana also completed the fourth phase of upgrading fire and cooling networks inside non-developed tents in Mina by replacing and improving more than 32,000 linear meters of infrastructure networks.
SPA told APP that the company has additionally installed 232 smart mobile phone charging stations across the Mashair pathway project to help pilgrims remain connected during movement between the holy sites.
Authorities said the smart projects form part of broader efforts to transform the holy sites into an advanced operational environment based on modern technologies and integrated digital infrastructure.
The report added that the initiatives are aimed at improving crowd management, strengthening safety systems and enhancing the overall experience of pilgrims during Hajj.
