ISLAMABAD, May 23 (APP): Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Saturday paid tribute to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for carrying out a successful operation against Khawarij terrorists in Bannu.
In a statement, the minister praised the bravery, professional expertise and timely action of the security personnel that resulted in the killing of eight terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij.
Hanif Abbasi also paid homage to the police official who embraced martyrdom while fighting the terrorists courageously during the operation.
He said the sacrifices rendered by the security forces and police in the fight against terrorism were a valuable national asset and a symbol of unwavering commitment to peace and stability.
The minister said that the nation would always remember its martyrs with honour and respect for their eternal sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
