ISLAMABAD, May 22 (APP):Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Staff (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has departed for an official visit to Iran.
According to the Security sources, Field Marshal Asim Munir will hold discussions on the ongoing Iran–United States talks, regional peace and stability, and other matters of mutual interest during the visit.
During the visit, the COAS will also meet senior Iranian leadership to discuss bilateral cooperation and the evolving regional situation, the sources added.
