SARGODHA, May 22 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry visited the sale points of sacrificial animals and cattle markets in the city in connection with Eidul Azha and reviewed the arrangements
made there.
On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Assistant Commissioner Sargodha, Deputy Director Livestock, CO CMMDC and other officers concerned were also present.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected the facilities provided for buyers and traders, livestock stalls, cleanliness, security, water supply, lighting and other arrangements.
He directed the officers concerned that as per the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there was a possibility of increase in heat intensity in next two to three days, therefore, provision of cool water, shady places and better environment should be ensured for animals and citizens.
He said that advance arrangements should be made to deal with any emergency situation, while special arrangements should be made for proper lighting during the night hours.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, no fee has been fixed at the sale points established by the district administration and strict implementation of this order was being ensured.
He warned that if a complaint of illegal fee collection was received at any place, strict action would be taken against those responsible. He further directed that the complaints cell should be kept active at the sale points so that complaints of buyers and traders could be redressed immediately.
It is pertinent to note that a total of 10 sale points have been established by the district administration in the district. Two major sales points have been set up in Sargodha city at Taahli Chowk and Bhalwal Road near Kutba Town.
