Abbasi hails 75 years of Pak-China diplomatic relations

ISLAMABAD, May 21 (APP):Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Thursday congratulated the governments and people of Pakistan and China on the completion of 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, saying the friendship as a shining example of mutual trust, sincerity and unwavering support.
In a message, the minister said that the longstanding Pakistan-China friendship had stood the test of time and continued to grow stronger with each passing year. He said that China had always played a valuable role in supporting Pakistan’s sovereignty, stability and national development.
The minster said that under the leadership of Xi Jinping, China had achieved remarkable success in the fields of development, modernization and economic stability.
Hanif Abbasi said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor had become a major driver of economic activity, industrial growth and modern infrastructure development in the country.
The minister expressed the confidence that the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China would continue to become more productive and beneficial in the future.
Highlighting cooperation in the railway sector, he said that modern passenger coaches were being manufactured at Pakistan Railways’ carriage factory under Chinese cooperation and technology transfer arrangements. He termed the local production of modern railway coaches as practical evidence of strong industrial cooperation and strategic partnership between the two friendly countries.
The minister also praised China’s efforts for global peace, development and sustainable prosperity, saying the country’s initiatives served as a positive example for the world. He said that Pakistan-China cooperation was opening new avenues for trade, investment and economic connectivity, adding that the bilateral relationship extended beyond diplomacy and was rooted in the deep affection and trust shared by the people of both nations.
Hanif Abbasi said that Pakistan-China ties were playing a key role in promoting peace, stability and shared development in the region and described the friendship as a message of progress, trust and collective prosperity for future generations.
