Seven bills smoothly sail through Senate

ISLAMABAD, May 21 (APP):The Senate on Thursday passed seven bills including Fiscal Responsibility and Debt Limitation (Amendment) Bill, 2026, Export-Import Bank of Pakistan (Amendment) Bill, 2026,Islamabad Capital Territory Condominium (Ownership and Management) Bill, 2026, Pakistan Infrastructure Development and Assets Management Authority Bill, 2026, Environmentally Sound Management of Inventory of Hazardous Material on Ships Bill, 2026, the Pakistan Airports
Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The bills were moved by Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Bilal Azhar Kayani, Minister of Law and Justice
Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary in the House.
The House passed all the bills through clause-by-clause reading.
Meanwhile, the presiding officer Sherry Rehman who was chairing the session, referred three other bills including the Standard Time (Interpretation of References) (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) Bill, 2026 as passed by the National Assembly to the concerned standing committees for detailed discussion.
The bills were moved by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary in the House.
Moreover, the House adopted the recommendations of Standing committee on Finance and Revenue on the Money Bill further to amend the Custom Act, 1969 [The Customs (Amendment) Bill, 2026. The motion was moved by Chairman Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue Saleem Mandviwalla in the House.
