QUETTA, May 20 (APP): Balochistan Education Minister, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani on Wednesday said that incumbent provincial government is determined to provide equal educational opportunities to students in the province for interest of quality of education.
She expressed these views while talking to Central Nazim-e-Aala Jamat-ul-Saleheen Pakistan Sahibzada Pir Sikandar Sultan who called on her office here.
During the meeting, various issues related to the education system of Balochistan, problems being faced by girls and boys studying in government schools, improvement of educational facilities and making the quality of education effective were discussed in detail.
The meeting emphasized that the provision of educational facilities should be ensured in remote areas of the province so that every child could get better and quality education.
Issues such as shortage of teachers in schools, unavailability of basic facilities, provision of clean drinking water, furniture, electricity and better educational environment for students were also discussed in the meeting.
Provincial Education Minister, Raheela Hameed Durrani said on this occasion that the government of Balochistan was taking practical steps to improve the education system in the province and work is underway on various projects to provide facilities in government schools, improve teacher attendance and improve the quality of education.
The Central Nazim-e-Aala Jamat-ul-Saleheen Pakistan Sahibzada Pir Sikandar Sultan said that education was the foundation of the development of any nation and providing modern and quality education to the children of Balochistan was the need of the hour.
He expressed his determination that all sections of the society must play a joint role in the promotion of education so that a bright future could be provided to the new generation.
He also appreciated the role of the provincial government including Education Minister for taking measures to develop each sectors including health and education of the province with the aim to provide basic facilities to masses in the areas.
The meeting concluded in a pleasant atmosphere and agreed to continue joint efforts for the promotion of mutual cooperation and improvement of the education sector.
