Tamgha-i-Imtiaz Recipient Muhammad Ali Swati Honoured with Fakhr-e-Hazara Award

ISLAMABAD, May 20 (APP):Muhammad Ali Swati was honoured with the “Fakhr-e-Hazara Award” during a prestigious ceremony held at Jalal Baba Auditorium in Abbottabad in recognition of his bravery and humanitarian services.
The award was presented by the Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and District Youth Office Abbottabad during the “Fakhr-e-Hazara Summit,” attended by youth leaders, social activists, entrepreneurs, government representatives and notable personalities from across Hazara division.
Muhammad Ali Swati gained nationwide recognition during the 2023 Battagram chairlift rescue operation, where he took part in the dangerous mission to rescue children and other passengers trapped hundreds of feet above the ground after a chairlift cable snapped in a mountainous area.

Speaking to APP after receiving the award, Muhammad Ali Swati dedicated the honour to the people of Hazara and Mansehra, saying the award was a recognition of all those volunteers and rescuers who risk their lives to help others during difficult times.
“This award is not only for me, but for the people of Hazara, Mansehra and all those brave individuals who serve humanity selflessly,” he said.
Swati said the love and appreciation shown by people encouraged him to continue humanitarian and rescue activities in different emergency situations.
Apart from the Battagram rescue operation, Muhammad Ali Swati also participated in relief and rescue activities during the devastating floods in Naran, where he helped stranded tourists and local residents during emergency operations.

Earlier, Muhammad Ali Swati was awarded the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in recognition of his rescue and humanitarian contributions.
Speakers at the ceremony paid tribute to Swati’s courage and dedication, describing his services as a source of inspiration for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan.
Among the speakers, Qaisar Akash Khan highlighted the importance of leadership, innovation and community service among youth and appreciated individuals working selflessly for humanity.
The ceremony concluded with award distributions and discussions aimed at encouraging youth participation in social welfare and humanitarian activities across the province.
