Pavilion of Pakistan’s Punjab Province opens as part of WUF13
Baku, May 19 (AZERTAC/APP):On May 19, the opening ceremony of the pavilion of Punjab, Pakistan’s largest province, was held within the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister of the Punjab Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, attended the opening ceremony.
As part of the event, the Chief Minister familiarized herself with the pavilion and was informed in detail about the displayed initiatives.
The pavilion showcases Punjab province’s initiatives in urban planning, sustainable development, and affordable housing provision.
Under the Punjab Government’s “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” housing program, more than 100,000 homes have been commissioned. The program aims at supporting housing provision for low-income families.
The pavilion also exhibits digital governance, climate-smart development, and public welfare projects.
