A high-level delegation of senior civil servants from Bangladesh visited the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan on Tuesday and held detailed discussions on constitutional governance, judicial reforms, and institutional cooperation with Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan and other judges of the court.

ISLAMABAD, May 19 (APP):A high-level delegation of senior civil servants from Bangladesh visited the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan on Tuesday and held detailed discussions on constitutional governance, judicial reforms, and institutional cooperation with Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan and other judges of the court.
The delegation, accompanied by the Director General of the Civil Services Academy (CSA) and senior faculty members, is currently in Pakistan under an Executive Leadership Development Training Programme aimed at enhancing understanding of governance, constitutional administration, and public service leadership.
The meeting was attended by judges including Justice Aamer Farooq, Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, and Justice Arshad Hussain Shah, as well as the Registrar of the court.
During the interaction, members of the Bangladeshi delegation appreciated the establishment of the Federal Constitutional Court and termed specialized constitutional forums important for strengthening democratic institutions and safeguarding citizens’ rights.
The two sides discussed constitutional evolution, judicial independence, institutional development, and the role of constitutional courts in ensuring rule of law and good governance. The discussions also highlighted the historical relations, shared cultural heritage, and close people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued engagement, mutual respect, and institutional cooperation to promote democratic governance and administrative excellence.
A documentary showcasing the achievements and institutional progress of the Federal Constitutional Court during the past six months was also screened on the occasion. The documentary highlighted the court’s efforts to establish new judicial traditions and strengthen constitutional governance.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan said the establishment of the Federal Constitutional Court aimed at ensuring swift and effective constitutional justice through expeditious disposal of cases while protecting constitutional supremacy and fundamental rights.
He said the court was working with dedication and institutional expertise to reduce backlog and provide timely constitutional remedies to the people.
The Chief Justice also stressed upon the importance of regional cooperation, institutional learning, and exchange of governance experiences between brotherly countries, saying such engagements contribute positively towards strengthening public institutions and promoting mutual understanding.
The Director General of the Civil Services Academy thanked the Chief Justice and judges for hosting the delegation and appreciated the court’s commitment to constitutionalism, institutional efficiency, and delivery of justice.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views and best wishes for continued professional cooperation between institutions working for governance, leadership development, and constitutional rule.
