Over 16,000 applications received for Apna Khet Apna Rozgar program in Multan

MULTAN, May 19 (APP): A review meeting on the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” programme was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Aamir Karim Khan to assess the progress of applications received under the scheme, the balloting process and the upcoming implementation schedule.
During the briefing, officials informed the meeting that a total of 16,596 applications had been received against 864 plots across the four districts of Multan division under the government’s land distribution initiative aimed at supporting landless farmers and unemployed rural youth.
According to the district-wise data shared in the meeting, 6,116 applications were received for 231 lots in Khanewal, 6,161 applications for 272 lots in Lodhran, 1,511 applications for 87 lots in Multan, while Vehari received 8,628 applications for 274 lots.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan said the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” scheme would help strengthen the rural economy by creating employment opportunities and promoting self-reliance among farmers.
He added that the entire allotment process would be conducted strictly on merit and with complete transparency. The meeting was informed that the application submission process would continue till May 20, 2026, while the preliminary list of applicants would be displayed on May 21. Scrutiny by the Tehsil Monitoring Committees will be carried out from May 22 to May 30, whereas appeals before the District Collector can be filed from June 1 to June 8. The final list of eligible applicants will be issued on June 19, 2026.
